Laura and Stephen's story began at the Oakmont when Laura made a trip back to Indianapolis for Canadian Thanksgiving in 2021. The two were living in different cities, but were introduced by Stephen's best friend Deepu.

Spending much of his time in Laura's city of Louisville, Stephen was hard at work opening The Jefferson Venue. Stephen will always be someone who knows what he wants and will make sure he makes it happen. His persistence paid off when Laura finally agreed to dinner - she was very stubborn despite thinking Stephen was really cute. Bonding over their shared love for food and travel, they found themselves spending more and more time together. And the rest, as they say, is history.

One of their many adventures took them to Laura's old city, Seattle, where she knew she had to share her favorite Christmas town of Leavenworth with Stephen. Little did Laura know, Stephen decided that this town would be where he would propose the following year.

In December 2023, almost exactly a year after their first trip to Leavenworth, amidst the snow covered mountains, Stephen proposed at the Post Hotel.

Now, as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives together, Laura and Stephen are so excited to having you join them as they celebrate their love and commitment surrounded by their closest friends and family.
